AAG signed well-known actor and politician Fred Thompson as their national spokesperson when they started their Fred Thompson campaign in 2010. At the age of 73, Thompson passed away on November 1, 2015, due to a return of lymphoma. Actor Tom Selleck, a Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner, was named the AAG’s new national spokesperson in June 2016.
